Chamonix is easily accessible, with the nearest airport situated at Geneva, about an hour's
drive away. Geneva airport offers many scheduled and charter flights from the UK. With low cost airlines like Easyjet, Jet 2 and BMI Baby, flying is a good option.
There are several airport transport services, but it is well worth considering hiring a car as the journey from the airport only takes about an hour. Chamonix and Les Houches have an excellent ski bus service, however you may find it beneficial to have a car available. We would advise you to hire from the "Swiss side" of Geneva airport, as it is so easily accessible from the motorway network. Alternatively if you choose to drive from the Uk, the journey using the French motorway system takes 8/9 hours from Calais.
